Contact FuturePostman support
How to reach support, what to put in your message so the first reply can help, and what support can and cannot do for a letter.
5 minutes to read
Support is reached through one form, and the answer comes by email. You do not need an account to write. Many questions are answered faster in Fix a problem with a letter, a payment or your account and in the frequently asked questions.
Send a message
Open the form
Go to Contact us. The Support page links to it as well.
Say what it is about
Under What is it about? choose Support, A problem, Billing, Feedback or Something else.
Check your email address
Your email address is where the reply goes. When you are signed in it is filled in with your primary address. Change it if you want the answer somewhere else.
Write the message
At least 10 characters, at most 4,000. The counter under the field shows how many you have used.
Send
If a security check is shown, complete it. Then press Send message. The page shows Message sent with the address the reply goes to.
- We answer by email, to the address in the form. It can take a few days.
- You do not get a copy of your message and no ticket number. Message sent on the page is the confirmation.
- The form takes text only. If a picture or a file would help, say so, and send it when you answer our reply.
- By sending you accept the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
What to include
A message we can act on right away saves you a round of questions.
- The email address of your account, if you write from another one
- Whether it is about an email letter or a paper letter
- For a paper letter: the Letter number from the page of the letter
- For an email letter: its subject and the day it was, or is, scheduled for
- What you did, what you expected and what happened instead
- The exact words of an error message, and the line that starts with
Refif an error page showed one - For a billing question: the date and the amount of the payment
- Your password
- The access code of a letter
- Card numbers
What support can do
- Look up a letter in your account and see why it failed. To send a failed letter again you do not need us: use Try again for an email letter and Send now for a paper letter.
- Correct a credit balance when something went wrong with a paper letter or a purchase.
- Answer questions about a plan, a payment or an invoice.
- Look into a blocked account. If your dashboard says your account is blocked, or the composer says it cannot send letters right now, write to us.
- Find the letter a recipient writes about, by its Reference.
What support cannot do
- Take back a notice email that has gone out, or stop a paper letter that has been posted.
- Tell anyone an access code. A code is written into the notice email of one recipient, and FuturePostman keeps it only in a form it cannot be read back from. The sender can send a new notice with a new code.
- Bring back a deleted letter, a deleted file or a deleted account. Deleting is final.
- Recover a draft. A draft lives in the browser you wrote it in and never reaches our servers.
- Speed up the post, or say where a standard paper letter is after it was posted. Only tracked letters are followed to the door.
- Return credits for a paper letter that was already posted.
If you received a letter and cannot open it
- Use the email address the notice was sent to, and the access code exactly as it is written in that email.
- After 3 wrong tries with one email address the letter is locked for that address for 15 minutes. Wait, then try again. A right code is never counted.
- If the page says This letter can no longer be opened, the link has passed its last day. Ask the person who wrote to you to extend the link. The link and the code you have then work again.
- If you lost the email, ask the sender to send the notice again. You get a new link and a new code.
- If the page says The sender removed this letter, the letter was deleted and cannot be brought back.
- Support cannot open a letter for you and cannot give you the code.
If the form does not send
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Enter a valid email address | Check the address for a typing mistake. |
| Write at least 10 characters | Describe the question in a sentence or two. |
