This page lists the limits the app enforces. The plan values are read from the plans on sale at the moment you open the page, and the other numbers are read from the app itself. What each plan limit means in practice is explained in Plans and what each limit means.

- An email letter is counted when you send or schedule it. One letter counts once, however many recipients it has
- The count starts again on the first day of each calendar month
- Paper letters are not counted. They are paid with credits

Email letters

| Recipients per letter | 20 addresses, counted over To, Cc and Bcc together. An address that appears twice counts once. |
| Subject | 200 characters |
| Schedule ahead | As far as your plan allows, at most 100 years. |
| Date written on the letter | The day of delivery, or up to 1 year back. |
| Changing a scheduled letter | Plans that include it: Postmaster. A letter that failed can be corrected on every plan. |
| Tries after a failed send | The letter is tried again by itself 5 times. After that it is Not delivered until you choose Try again. |
| A send that was interrupted | Goes back in line after 30 minutes. |
| A draft from the AI writer | Up to 1,200 characters |
How long the link stays open
Under Link stays open for in the composer you choose how long the recipient can open the letter and its files. The time counts from delivery, not from the day you schedule.
- You can choose 1 hour, 1 day, 5 days, 30 days, 90 days, and 1 year. A new letter starts with 90 days.
- After delivery you can extend the link by 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, and 1 year.
- A link never stays open longer than 1 year, counted from today.
- An unlocked letter closes itself after 30 minutes without activity. The recipient then types the email address and the access code again.
Paper letters

Public letters

Attempt limits
Some actions can only be repeated a few times in a short while. This protects letters against guessing and the service against misuse. When you reach one, wait for the time shown and try again.
For the recipient of a letter
