Album sizes and prices

The four sizes of an event album side by side: how many photos and videos each holds, how long a video can be, how far ahead it can open, how long it stays and what it costs.

3 minutes to read

Every event has one of four sizes. You choose it under Size of the album when you create the event, and you can move to a larger one later. The size is about the album only: your letters and your credits play no part, and a paid album is not paid with credits.

Photos and videos
How many the opened album shows, counted together.
Opens up to
How far ahead the opening can lie, counted from the moment you set the date.
Stays open
Counted from the last opening: the photos, or the messages when they open a year later. Then the album is deleted, see How long an album is kept.
Storage
Everything the guests add, all together. When it is used up, the album is full.

What one phone can add is the same on every size, see What one phone can add. An account can have only a limited number of free albums open at the same time.

How you pay

  • A paid size is one payment for one event, in US dollars, on a Stripe payment page. It is not a subscription and nothing renews.
  • The payment is listed with your other payments, see invoices and payment.
  • The event is created as a free album first and grows when the payment arrives. If you leave the payment page explains what happens then.

Move to a larger size

  1. Open the event

Open Events in the menu and press Manage on the event. A larger album shows your size, marked Your album, and the larger ones. It is there while the album is sealed and while it is open.

  2. Pay the difference

The button under a larger size says Upgrade for with the price: the difference to the size you have, so nothing is paid twice.

  3. Come back to the event

After the payment you return to the event page, and it says Payment received. The album is larger now. If it says The payment is on its way. The album grows as soon as it arrives., the album grows by itself once the payment is confirmed.

With the larger size, everything in its column applies to the event: more photos and videos, longer videos, a later opening if the album is still sealed, and more days open, counted from the last opening. A size cannot be made smaller.

When an album is full

A photo is not refused in the middle of the party. When an album holds as many photos and videos as its size, guests can still add more, up to a second limit. Those wait outside the album, unseen, and the event page says The album is full. Move to a larger one and they join it. The opened album and its ZIP file show the first ones that were added.

Past the second limit, or when the storage is used up, the album takes nothing more and guests see This album is full. Nothing more can be added. Big event and Wedding hold the most, so what waits outside them is never shown.
